I warmly welcome you all as my distinguished guests who hit the web site of “The National Center for Parasitology, Entomology and Malaria Control"(NCMC) formerly had known as CNM. It is a sheer delight to host a web site that attempts to provide at one place, all the information relating to Vector borne disease (VBD) situation and control activities in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
I take this opportunity to point out that the CNM has over time evolved as the nodal department of the Ministry of Health, Cambodia responsible for the control of all vector borne diseases in the country. The activities include epidemiological investigations, operational research, training and supportive supervision of health staff as well as a host of other interventions for advising the MoH to formulate policies accordingly. NCMC co-ordinates four main programs such as Malaria, Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF), Filariasis and Schistosomiasis and intestinal parasitic infections.
I invite you to continue to visit our web site from time to time which keeps you updated on the VBD status, the various activities being carried out at central and peripheral levels, latest news and views on the subject. You are most welcome to share your activities, work experiences and on going or finished research projects relating to our subject in our on-line newsletter.
